Reset Your Body!
I’m not the type of person who typically tries these so-called “fad diets,” but I’m at a point in my life where I can no longer be choosy. I came across the Body Reset Diet and the name alone captured my interest. I figured my body could use a little reset button. I also knew that metabolism was important for maintaining a healthy weight. So, I decided to give this a shot, and I’m glad I did. Exercise and I have never really gotten along, but if you use all the dietary principles outlined in the book, you don’t really have to do a lot of exercise. I literally go for walks around the neighborhood and I hardly even see them as “exercise.” Of course, the food is the primary engine for increasing your metabolic rate. Although it’s mostly liquefied (soups, smoothies, etc.), the food isn’t actually that bad.
Definitely worth your time and money
I love how simple this book and the program are to follow! I lost 5 lbs during the fifteen day program and am continuing my smoothie and walking regimen a week later. The concept behind the program makes sense and to see results so quickly is very encouraging. I am a lifelong athlete who, now in my thirties, never would have thought that merely walking 10,000+ steps a day would make such a difference. I also never realized that I wasn’t already doing so! I lost 2″ in my thighs and dropped a pant size. Yesterday was my first day back at the gym and I look forward to using Harley’s program to help me drop another 5-10 lbs and improve my fitness level. I would (and have) recommend this book to anyone!
I was not sure about this book. The reviews I read were a little mixed on how it works. I have been over weight all my life and have been on diet after diet. The Body Reset Diet out shines them all. It is very easy to follow. You can do any thing for 15 days. I will say that the first 2 days I was a little hungry, nothing I could not handle. But after that, hunger was not a problem. Use your imagination and your snacks and meals can have a large variety. The best thing about this diet, I lost 20 pounds in 13 days. I have more energy and just feel so much better all the way around. If you have trouble with getting the weight off I would suggest you try this diet. I am 60 years old and if I can lose that weight in such a short period of time imagine how fast younger people can lose it, It is so easy when you start losing weight very slowly or just stop, just back to Phase 1, and it will start you again.
A good "reset," but not to be used as a comprehensive tool
I needed a simple, clear cut method for getting my diet back on track after the holidays and this book delivered. The diet was reasonable and never left me hungry or feeling like I was denying myself. The smoothies are all delicious, the snacks are easy and the meal recipes simple to follow. The exercise advice was also very doable, I’ve found tremendous benefit from implementing his recommendation for walking 10,000 steps a day. And it really does get easier to incorporate all of his tips after you make a conscious effort to do so for the first 15 days.
BEST DIET BOOK I HAVE EVER USED
For several years, I have had a lot of trouble losing weight, trying different diet books ideas, but on this one I lost 5 pounds in the first 6 days, and would have lost more if I had exercised more.
This is not a diet! It’s a lifestyle change!!
Immediate results! I started slimming down after 7 days and by the 15th day I was down 8 lbs! I didn’t stop there, I’m on my 19th day having 2 smoothies a day (a.m. & p.m.) with a healthy lunch. I’m not a big fan of the scale because you can become disheartened if you don’t like how it reads so I’m letting my wardrobe do the talking and it’s feel like Christmas all over again discovering clothes in my closet that were too snug to wear before. This is my blueprint for the rest of my life!! Harley made this so easy for me. I don’t diet but have always tried to eat healthily along with lots of exercise. However, after a hysterectomy in my early 40’s and soon to be 52, nothing was working. I was doing all the things I used to do to stay healthy but couldn’t keep the lbs from creeping on. My metabolism was non-existent and my BMI was disappointing! I found The Body Reset easy to incorporate into my already busy schedule and easy to maintain. His smoothie recipes, snacks and SS meal options are comprehensive with lots of variety for someone like me who gets bored very easily! I was never hungry in between smoothies and I still had my snacks, that’s magic!! Having personally experienced such great results made me more confident while on vacation recently. I wasn’t terrified to eat because I was without my smoothies. I was still very conscious of eating healthily as much as I could but I didn’t feel limited in the types of foods I could have, I stayed away from high carbs and desserts so that I could enjoy a cocktail or two (smile) and knowing I had my blueprint for success waiting when I got back home made my vacation much more enjoyable!! I feel totally renergized, motivated and unstoppable! I didn’t think it was possible to Reset this body, but it was!! Thank you Harley! Take that BMI !!!
A program that will work for Life!
I started this program last Wednesday and I feel GREAT! I have not been hungry at all and I have lost about 6 pounds. I wear my pedometer every where I go to get 10,000 steps in each day. Yesterday, my kids got ice cream and I walked 2000 steps while they enjoyed themselves. I feel like this is finally the right fit for me after trying so many other programs. Everyone can walk and everyone can mix up a smoothie in a blender with the easy recipes in this book. Harley Pasternak has reallly made a perfect program.
I really like this diet plan a lot
I really like this diet plan a lot. I will say, on the first 5-day phase with only smoothies and snacks, we were very hungry (I’m sure this isn’t the case for everyone). We even added in a third healthy snack that meets the qualifications and that still didn’t curb our hunger. It wasn’t unbearable, but it definitely wasn’t pleasant. However, we both lost around 4 pounds during this phase. The smoothie recipes are good and I can definitely see continuing on this diet plan long term (with the meals added in, of course). Walking 10,000 steps a day was a much bigger task than I anticipated, though. He makes it sound like it’s really easy to get your 10,000 steps in throughout your day just by doing things like parking further away, taking extra laps in the grocery store, getting up and taking a lap around the office every so often, etc. That doesn’t cut it. I do all of those things and still, at best, reach 3-4,000 steps per day. I have to go on a deliberate, long walk to reach 10,000. We decided to walk to the grocery store from our house (almost two miles away) and after the walk there and walking around the store doing our shopping, we still didn’t reach our 10,000 steps. So it’s definitely a good hour time commitment each day (at least). He’s exaggerating a bit in the book as to how easy it is. However, I still think this is a really good plan and will continue to keep it up.
I was skeptical at first. I’m a petite woman that just turned 50 and had gained almost 10 pounds. I’m active, as I run and do Tae Bo at least 3 times / week. I used to be a trainer and Tae Bo Instructor, so I do know what I should be eating and working out. I have fallen off the wagon on weight lifting, but that’s another story. I read the reviews from women that said they tried it and they were over 50 or menopausal and it didn’t work. Well I’m here to say, that it absolutely works. So far I’ve lost 7 pounds and it’s been so easy. The smoothies are so good and I’m never hungry and have more energy and less bloated. I’ve opted to stay on it and have 2 smoothies per day at least 3-4 days / week. My body fat has already dropped almost 1%. Even the evening smoothies, I turned into soups! I used veggies and protein powder as opposed to fruits and heated it! I intend to stay on it to hit my goal and then some. I highly recommend this book and you really need to read it and refer to it and follow it. I’m not a fan of greek yogurt in my smoothies, so it’s nice that there are plenty of other options. I’ve gotten to really like the unsweetened vanilla almond milk and coconut milk, as well as of course fat free milk. Coconut water is great too and he mentions flavored water which I’ve experimented with too, which tastes great! Try it, you have everything to lose!!!
