Definitely worth your time and money

I love how simple this book and the program are to follow! I lost 5 lbs during the fifteen day program and am continuing my smoothie and walking regimen a week later. The concept behind the program makes sense and to see results so quickly is very encouraging. I am a lifelong athlete who, now in my thirties, never would have thought that merely walking 10,000+ steps a day would make such a difference. I also never realized that I wasn’t already doing so! I lost 2″ in my thighs and dropped a pant size. Yesterday was my first day back at the gym and I look forward to using Harley’s program to help me drop another 5-10 lbs and improve my fitness level. I would (and have) recommend this book to anyone!

Great book

I was not sure about this book. The reviews I read were a little mixed on how it works. I have been over weight all my life and have been on diet after diet. The Body Reset Diet out shines them all. It is very easy to follow. You can do any thing for 15 days. I will say that the first 2 days I was a little hungry, nothing I could not handle. But after that, hunger was not a problem. Use your imagination and your snacks and meals can have a large variety. The best thing about this diet, I lost 20 pounds in 13 days. I have more energy and just feel so much better all the way around. If you have trouble with getting the weight off I would suggest you try this diet. I am 60 years old and if I can lose that weight in such a short period of time imagine how fast younger people can lose it, It is so easy when you start losing weight very slowly or just stop, just back to Phase 1, and it will start you again.

I am on day 10 and have lost one pound…I have lost several inches (i normally wear a size 12 and i’m currently fitting into size 8!)
I have been doing lots of extra resistance training so it is possible that I gained muscle (which weighs more than fat).
Now aside from the obvious loss of dress sizes I also feel INCREDIBLE. I have not had this much energy in a long time. I also have never consumed so much fruit & veg…so it makes sense. I replace all the dairy in the book since i’m vegan with either light silken tofu (instead of greek yogurt) or fat free soy milk.
By day 10 you are allowed to eat two meals and one smoothie per day but I honestly really enjoy the two smoothies plus one meal format and may just stick to that. I have way more time, less dishes….love it.
I recommend this book to everyone…not just as a weight loss tool but as a life overhaul. I went from a high carb, starchy fat vegan to a healthy, energetic and happy one who also happens to be now wearing single digit clothes again!

This is not a diet! It’s a lifestyle change!!

Immediate results! I started slimming down after 7 days and by the 15th day I was down 8 lbs! I didn’t stop there, I’m on my 19th day having 2 smoothies a day (a.m. & p.m.) with a healthy lunch. I’m not a big fan of the scale because you can become disheartened if you don’t like how it reads so I’m letting my wardrobe do the talking and it’s feel like Christmas all over again discovering clothes in my closet that were too snug to wear before. This is my blueprint for the rest of my life!! Harley made this so easy for me. I don’t diet but have always tried to eat healthily along with lots of exercise. However, after a hysterectomy in my early 40′s and soon to be 52, nothing was working. I was doing all the things I used to do to stay healthy but couldn’t keep the lbs from creeping on. My metabolism was non-existent and my BMI was disappointing! I found The Body Reset easy to incorporate into my already busy schedule and easy to maintain. His smoothie recipes, snacks and SS meal options are comprehensive with lots of variety for someone like me who gets bored very easily! I was never hungry in between smoothies and I still had my snacks, that’s magic!! Having personally experienced such great results made me more confident while on vacation recently. I wasn’t terrified to eat because I was without my smoothies. I was still very conscious of eating healthily as much as I could but I didn’t feel limited in the types of foods I could have, I stayed away from high carbs and desserts so that I could enjoy a cocktail or two (smile) and knowing I had my blueprint for success waiting when I got back home made my vacation much more enjoyable!! I feel totally renergized, motivated and unstoppable! I didn’t think it was possible to Reset this body, but it was!! Thank you Harley! Take that BMI !!!

This really worked! I lost 25lbs in 3 1/2 months for my wedding. The book and ‘science’ makes sense. The first week is the toughest, but just like everything else, once you get in to a routine, you’re fine! Highly, highly recommend it.

I have tried every diet out there. I’ve been battling eating issues since I was 16, and ten plus years later, they were still going strong. I am not going to say that this diet “cured” me, but it certainly has allowed me to move forward in my recovery. And when I say eating issues, I mean they were enough to have me hospitalized multiple times.

But I got to a point in my life where I realized I had to change the way I was living or I wouldn’t be able to fight diseases or function like a normal person. I haven’t eaten like a “normal” person since I was a little kid, and I knew this couldn’t continue the rest of my life. This book has helped me move towards what I like to call recovery, as each day is still a challenge for me. I did months of research on what diet I wanted to try this time, and I had to find something that worked for me. I am fearful of food. I am scared of calories and the scale and numbers. But this diet seemed like it was something I could work with. Smoothies don’t scare me, but I knew it was going to be hard committing to eating three times a day as it was, plus two snacks. Totally overwhelming. However, I think Harley made this an easy diet. I have completed my 15 days and I feel amazing.

I didn’t think it was too tough to do three smoothies a day for the first five days, but it was difficult the first two days adjusting. After that, smooth sailing. You really notice a difference in your body, energy level, and motivation to continue on. Plus I have lost at least 12 pounds. I love the smoothies. The ones that I would recommend are the apple pie smoothie, the strawberry kiwi smoothie, the green smoothie, the PB&J smoothie, etc. I don’t care for the berry ones, but I believe that’s because I tried to make them before hand and put them in the refrigerator for the next day and it did NOT taste good the second day. It was so gross. However if you make them right away, they’re amazing. The apple pie one does do well overnight and is perfect to grab in the morning. I crave that one and the kiwi smoothie. I have also realized that sometimes I make little substitutions if I don’t care for the taste of something. I really like the egg scrambles, especially the cream cheese one. The stir fry meals are easy too. I haven’t gotten to try everything yet because I am still in this journey and figuring out what I like and don’t like. Snacks are still hard for me to get down and actually force myself to eat them, but Harley gives so many suggestions you’re sure to find something that works for you.

I can sympathize with other people’s complaints for sure, such as living in a smaller town with not as many resources for certain foods but I am sure you can modify some things to make it work. I also never make the 10,000 steps and I am still doing very well and continuing to lose weight. I know that my challenges are different than other peoples, but I do have sisters and a mother with major weight problems and although they too have overcome these things, I can still relate to their eating issues. My little sister has started doing the smoothies in the morning and loves them. I am personally most comfortable with two smoothies a day, and then one meal, but there are days where it feels good to have three and detox a little. I haven’t had a day where I tried one smoothie and two meals, but I am working on getting there.

Harley also has recommendations regarding what blenders to use. Of course, we all want the Vitamix, and trust me I will be saving up for that one and get it in a month or two, but I also use a regular blender and it is just fine. And Harley doesn’t make crazy statements like you can only use a Vitamix. I think he’s fairly realistic that people have different budgets and lifestyles. I have never made those 10,000 steps in a day but I’d like to, even if I do workout in exchange for that. It’s the little things he suggests tweaking in your life that are also really good ideas, like parking in the farthest spot from the grocery store, etc.

Bottom line: if you work it how he says to work it, it works. If you want to make changes you will. It may not be ideal for every single person because smoothies might not be an option or what you enjoy having. But for me it’s been the perfect transition of not eating at all, to eating healthy meals without fear. By the way, the smoothies are so filling I often feel like I won’t be able to finish them. Thanks Harley! This has given me the change I have needed in my life, and I am loving the new me.

Awesome Book & Easy to Follow Diet!

I’m 42 and have tried every diet out there (Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Low Carb/High Protein, Cabbage Soup, etc.) and nothing has worked to “jump start” my metabolism. I was killing myself at the gym and eating very little and I could never lose weight. Figured if Harley trained celebrities for so many years, he must know what he’s talking about and he does– THE DIET DOES WORK! I lost 9 pounds in my first month (not bad for a woman!) and I’ve lost another 5 pounds this last month even though I’m not following the program as strictly as before (I let myself have more cheat days and occasionally drink alcohol). . .and exercise hasn’t been very intense! Just try to do the 10,000 steps per day that he recommends . .. Never thought smoothies would be filling and I thought there would be too much sugar with all the fruit I was consuming for myself to lose any weight . . . or I didn’t think I could tolerate them in the wintertime . . . but they are great and tasty! I feel better for eating lighter . . I’m not hungry (yes, it might take a few days for your body to “detox” and get used to the new routine) . . . but they are super simple and convenient for office professionals like me who work a lot of hours and need something quick . . I make my breakfast and lunch smoothies in the morning and take them to work and store in the fridge. If I know I’m going to work late, I’ll take an extra one to work for dinner . . . But besides the weight loss benefits, I enjoyed reading about Harley’s eating/exercise life balance philosophy . . we all think we are supposed to go “hard core” at the gym and then starve ourselves but that isn’t needed to lose weight . . . nice to hear a professional trainer admit that to us!! I’ve been needlessly killing myself at the gym for years without any good results! Thank you, Harely! I’m a believer!

BEST DIET BOOK I HAVE EVER USED

For several years, I have had a lot of trouble losing weight, trying different diet books ideas, but on this one I lost 5 pounds in the first 6 days, and would have lost more if I had exercised more.

The smoothies are really, really good, and very nutritious. The plan is something I can stick with. Meals take just a few minutes, the smoothies are filling. All I have to clean is a glass and a blender!
Perfect for my busy lifestyle. Harley has a great style and the book is easy to read and understand. (I would LOVE to see a follow up book, that includes a plan for situations like eating out or on vacation, how to handle the challenges that come up when you are away from home and can’t make your own meals.)
