Definitely worth your time and money
I love how simple this book and the program are to follow! I lost 5 lbs during the fifteen day program and am continuing my smoothie and walking regimen a week later. The concept behind the program makes sense and to see results so quickly is very encouraging. I am a lifelong athlete who, now in my thirties, never would have thought that merely walking 10,000+ steps a day would make such a difference. I also never realized that I wasn’t already doing so! I lost 2" in my thighs and dropped a pant size. Yesterday was my first day back at the gym and I look forward to using Harley’s program to help me drop another 5-10 lbs and improve my fitness level. I would (and have) recommend this book to anyone!
I just finished my 15 days on this diet and succeeded in losing 6 lbs. I followed the diet strictly with only 2 exceptions – I had one alcoholic drink on day 9(a margarita that tasted so good!) and one day (day 10) I put half and half in my coffee. I lost 4 lbs in the first 5 days, and 2 in the subsequent 10 days. I only felt hungry one evening and was never dizzy or lacking energy. I think the diet did “reset” my metabolism. It helped me get back on track with clean eating. I will continue to have smoothies for breakfast and sometimes lunch, and even on evenings when I am short on time and can’t cook a complete meal.
My background is – 47 year old mom of 3 kids (ages 15, 13, 11). I am 5’8″ and weighed 155 lbs to start, now weighing 149 lbs. I have always been fairly active but had put on a few extra pounds recently due to a hectic schedule. Because I am an active person, I think I could have done more vigorous exercise to lose additional weight – but I didn’t want to become overly hungry so I stuck to the 10K steps per day, eventually adding the light strength training. I used the Fitbit Ultra to track my steps/activity, and MyFitnessPal to track my caloric intake. Both tools helped me keep my caloric intake below my calories burned. I will continue to use these tools to stay on track. I do wish that I had taken body measurements – like waist, thighs, etc. I can see a visible difference and wonder if the scale isn’t telling the whole story. Good luck to all you try the diet! This is not a diet! It’s a lifestyle change!!
Immediate results! I started slimming down after 7 days and by the 15th day I was down 8 lbs! I didn’t stop there, I’m on my 19th day having 2 smoothies a day (a.m. & p.m.) with a healthy lunch. I’m not a big fan of the scale because you can become disheartened if you don’t like how it reads so I’m letting my wardrobe do the talking and it’s feel like Christmas all over again discovering clothes in my closet that were too snug to wear before. This is my blueprint for the rest of my life!! Harley made this so easy for me. I don’t diet but have always tried to eat healthily along with lots of exercise. However, after a hysterectomy in my early 40′s and soon to be 52, nothing was working. I was doing all the things I used to do to stay healthy but couldn’t keep the lbs from creeping on. My metabolism was non-existent and my BMI was disappointing! I found The Body Reset easy to incorporate into my already busy schedule and easy to maintain. His smoothie recipes, snacks and SS meal options are comprehensive with lots of variety for someone like me who gets bored very easily! As a 61 year old male in fair shape, I just couldn’t lose those few extra pounds. I’m 5′ 11" and couldn’t get below 190 even with regular workouts and good eating. I saw this book and decided to try it. Now, after 3 months, I’m down to 160 lbs. I really like the white and red smoothies and still do those most days without getting hungry or losing energy. Mi have recommended this program to several friends who are also experiencing good results.
Body Reset Diet! Yes!
I’ve tried several weight loss programs & most were too complicated. This one I can do. My weight loss hasn’t been as fast as it says, but I’m menopausal & have hypothyroidism. I’m pleased with results.
it actually works with insulin resistance
With insulin resistance, I usually lose 4 to 6 pounds in 2 to 3 weeks and there I stay. My husband and I, he’s a diabetic, began and by he end of one we had lost 7 to 8 pounds each. His blood sugar started coming down. I stopped getting trembly and nauseous from Bloodsugar swings. Reflux disappeared.
We are eating healthy food and tons more vegetables than we ever have before. A vita mix is handy. Especially if you like it very very smooth, which I do.
We will continue cycling through the three phrases until our weight is gone.
5 pounds in 2 days!!! so far
Okay. I buy things almost daily on amazon but rarely create reviews. But I am so excited that I just had to this time. I had been struggling along with an internet-based point counting plan. I think that plan works IF you stick to it but I just cannot or do not count points and journal consistently. This round (we won’t even discuss previously where I had a year’s subscription that was just wasted) I have been on it for 2.5 months and lost 9 pounds. By contrast my ulta-committed sister has already lost over 40 lbs on that plan and pretty quickly too. Anyway, when I saw Harley’s plan in a Woman’s World magazine,I decided I would try it and bought the book on amazon. I wanted to try the plan right away but put it off for a week- till after a Whole Foods run and Labor Day. So for the long holiday, I ate what I pleased. Not a good thing. Day after Labor Day, I weighed 3 pounds more than the week before!!! That motivated me to get started on this plan the next day. On morning of Day 2, I weighed myself and the 3 pounds were gone!! Unbelievable!!! I weighed myself this morning, Day 3, and I am an additional 2 pounds down. That is 5 pounds in 2 days!! I was already exercising and I exercised on Day 1, had to skip Day 2, but will exercise today. Don’t know if that makes the big difference. Truly, I am not hungry IF I eat the snacks. I did WANT to eat something but that is emotional eating or just habit. It is amazing how many empty calories we eat without paying attention- a bite here or there; “tasting” the toddler’s food etc. I needed to cut that out. I know everybody is different but if you are like me and need something strict, easy and that produces results fast, try this. I plan to stretch Phase 1 from 5 days to seven. I believe this plan will provide a jump start to my ultimate goal of being 30 pounds lighter; just being able to wear smaller sizes (have on a [big] 10 pants today!) will do wonders in keeping me motivated and on track. The smoothie ingredients are SO healthy and tasty; and my snack of choice is usually smoked salmon with fruit so your body is getting lots of healthy stuff. I plan to use smoothies for one or two meals daily even after I reach my goal weight and this time I shall! Good luck to everyone. Will post again at the end of five days. Hope this rate continues!!
Shakes were great!!
This is a menu you have to really shop before you start as it requires LOTS of veggies and leafy greens. However, the shakes/smoothies were very tasty and I never felt starved or deprived. IN fact, getting ready to try it again as it made preparing meals for one so easy and I know they were healthy.
